Chapel Hill truck accident kills one man, injures another

WRAL reported that a man lost his life in a recent Chapel Hill truck accident.

The man was driving his truck down the Interstate when he hit the back end of a box truck, causing it to run off the side of the road, hit a nearby guardrail, and overturn onto an embankment.

The first truck also went off the side of the road, struck the guard rail, and flipped over. The driver of the first truck died from the injuries sustained during the North Carolina truck accident.

The driver of the second truck suffered some injuries during the Chapel Hill truck accident, but his condition is unknown.

State cracks down on Raleigh nursing home abuse

The News and Observer reported that a newly appointed head of the Department of Health and Human Services has become stricter on punishment for Raleigh nursing home abuse.

Since assuming the role, he has started putting people involved in North Carolina nursing home abuse cases on administrative leave until situations are investigated.

Workers, however, feel that this aggressive action is too strong. If they’re caring for a violent patient, they have to do what they can to control the patient without seeming abusive.

The secretary stated that his intention is to prevent cases of Raleigh nursing home neglect and abuse so that patients can receive the care they deserve.

Greenville auto accident injures two

March 3, 2009

The Greenville Reflector reported that two people suffered some injuries during a recent Greenville car accident.

The driver of one car made a left turn in front of another car, causing the Greenville auto accident and forcing the first car up onto the sidewalk.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during the Greenville car accident.

There were no passengers in either of the cars when the North Carolina auto accident occurred.
