Henson Fuerst is Standing Up to Bullying

HensonFuerst Attorneys is proud to have sponsored the Stand Up! Anti-Bullying Festival, on Saturday, November 9, 2013. The event drew more than 2,500 people to the Royal Palace Theatre in Roanoke Rapids. The festival featured the Chris Hendricks Band, motivational speaker, Ahmed Toure and several other entertainers, vendors, and contests.

HensonFuerst is proud to sponsor Chris Hendricks Band’s “Breaking Down Barriers” program in North Carolina schools. Chris Hendricks has cerebral palsy and was bullied throughout his childhood. His music and anti-bullying message motivate students to take action against bullying in their schools.

The Stand Up! Anti-Bullying Festival was a celebration of acceptance and spirit. More than 2,500 members of our community came together with the goal of raising awareness about the problem of bullying. It was a full day of music, entertainment, contests, vendors, and giveaways. We are honored to have been a part of it.

Durham Academy Middle School

The first Breaking Down Barriers program was a huge success! The program was held at Durham Academy Middle School, where Chris shared his story with nearly 400 students.
