September 18th, 2017

Disability Rights NC is an organization comprised of attorneys, advocates, paralegals and staff who work to support the disabled of North Carolina. The organization works tirelessly to provide advocacy and legal services at no charge to people with disabilities across North Carolina.

This past weekend, the board met for their quarterly meeting in Wrightsville Beach, NC. They discussed current and future goals of the organization, as well as strategies for protecting and advocating on behalf of people with disabilities in North Carolina.

Rachel Fuerst serves as the vice-chair of Disability Rights NC. She said, “As the granddaughter of a person with sensory and age-related disabilities, I am keenly aware of the challenge of disability on the entire family. This is one of the reasons why I got involved with Disability Rights NC.”
