HensonFuerst Will Join the “Walk to Defeat ALS”

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a heartbreaking disorder. Also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, ALS affects the nerves that control voluntary muscle movement. As the nerves degenerate, a person with ALS experiences progressive muscle weakness and, eventually, paralysis.

HensonFuerst Attorneys is proud to participate in the “Walk to Defeat ALS” fundraiser. Our firm’s cofounder, Bob Fuerst, is on the Board of Directors of North Carolina’s Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of the ALS Association. The Walk to Defeat ALS is the largest ALS fundraising event in the United States, not to mention the fact that it is one of the most efficient fundraisers, with $0.91 of each $1.00 raised directly supporting Chapter efforts. In the last 10 years, the Walk has raised more than $82 million to support the work of the ALS Association.

This year’s Walk to Defeat ALS will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011.  HensonFuerst will be sponsoring the Bob Fuerst Team, and we invite you to help us in supporting this very worthy cause. If you would like to join us during the walk, or if you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, please visit Bob’s ALS  Walk page here: The Bob Fuerst Team for ALS Walk

Thank you for helping to bring us one step closer to a cure for ALS!
