It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henson & Fuerst PA founding partner, Robert Louis Fuerst at age 68. Robert, known to most as Bob, passed on January 6th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Bob Fuerst leaves behind a remarkable legacy, as he dedicated his life and legal practice to helping others. As a founding partner of Henson & Fuerst PA, he was one of the first family law specialists in North Carolina. Bob later focused his practice on fighting against nursing home abuse and becoming a staunch protector of the elderly in North Carolina.
Bob Fuerst was born July 22, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the oldest son of Lila and Herbert Fuerst. Bob moved to North Carolina as an infant, where he went on to attend college at UNC Chapel Hill and raised his family in his hometown of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Happily married to Claudia Fuerst for 47 years, they had two daughters, Shanah and Rachel. His daughter Rachel Fuerst, is an attorney at Henson Fuerst today.
Bob cherished spending time with his loved ones, was a great storyteller to his beautiful grandchildren and was an incredibly generous man, who dedicated his life to improving the quality of life for so many.
