Cyclists Gearing up for Annual NC Tour de Cure

February 27, 2014

Almost 26 million Americans suffer from Diabetes, a condition that affects the regulation of the body’s blood sugar levels. That’s roughly 10 percent of our country’s population. At the law firm of HensonFuerst, our team of North Carolina Personal Injury Lawyers decided action was needed to help combat this dangerous health condition.

We determined one of the best ways to help was to participate in the American Diabetes Association’s Tour De Cure bicycle ride and race. The event is scheduled to take place in Cary, North Carolina, over the weekend of May 17-18. Participants can choose to ride in events that range from a mere 10 miles to longer stretches that go as far as 208 miles over the span of the weekend. The routes are also fully supported to ensure all cyclists are safe and enjoying the ride!

In order to participate, an individual simply needs to visit the event’s website and register. Donations can then be collected in order to help raise funds for the event. So far, more than $80,000 has been collected toward the organization’s $500,000 goal.

At HensonFuerst, our lawyers are working vigorously to prepare for and raise awareness of the NC Tour de Cure and are hopeful others will decide to come out and take a ride for a great cause!
